“Are we there yet?”
When we were younger, we shouted that question repeatedly from the back seat of the car, impatiently waiting to arrive at a destination that seemed to be taking forever to reach. As we got older, we might have found ourselves in the driver’s seat, fielding that same question from frustrated voices behind us.
Today, as we wait impatiently to see the progress and promise of our nation, we hear the voices of an exhausted multitude asking, “Are we there yet?”
Not yet.
